Giving Back: Hopes Closet - Nov + Dec
We are delighted to partner with Hopes Closet this season in showcasing all that they offer to this community, as well as creating volunteer opportunities for those who want to help us give back!
Hopes Closet is a non-profit donation center and storefront that serves Santa Cruz County children who are in foster care, crisis, experiencing homelessness, low income or facing financial hardship. Hopes Closet is committed to recycling and living sustainably, and offers a quick and easy way for you to pass along your children’s outgrown clothing, gear and other items while giving back to the needs of children in the community. These items are sold in their storefront up to 70% less than regular retail or sorted to create Bundles of Hope. Their cause is beautiful and so important for our community! 🤍
A “Bundle of Hope” bag is a curated bag filled with enough clothing and supplies (socks, underwear, shoes etc.) for a week provided to children in need at no cost. They need help packing these up to prep for the holiday season!
We have set up 2-hour volunteer time slots throughout this month to accommodate most schedules- we hope you will join us in giving back at Hopes Closet this month!
Volunteer activities include:
⋒ help out in the store
⋒ help create bundles of Hope bags
⋒ help organize book library donations
⋒ help sort donation clothing sizes
⋒ help organize toy drive donations
See more info on our Instagram page and highlights to sign up to volunteer. We think you’ll all really enjoy this fulfilling opportunity!!
** We’ll be hosting a Donation Drive at Woodhouse Brewing + Blending on December 2nd- a fun way for you to give back while enjoying a sip with friends! Stay tuned on our IG for details!
